grateful for earplugs
No, I was not watching Guardians of the Galaxy last night.
I can't write this post. I've tried like 20 times. Long story short: raccoons, opossums, cats, having a WWE smack-down on the tin awning outside my room at 2 a.m. last night. Oh yeah, they also live in my attic where they hold tap dancing classes and like to go bowling with their entire bodies on frequent occasions. Also, their faces look like demons from hell when you wake up in the middle of the night and shine your phone flashlight on them through your dirty window. Also, apparently I can still scream like a ten-year-old girl in a horror movie when the proper situation calls for it.
I'm tired. So very tired. But boy am I grateful for the existence earplugs and my (unfortunately delayed) decision to use them. Please keep me in your thoughts as I try to remember to use them BEFORE I go to bed next time. Oh may the great Buddha help me.

Oh poor Juli! Earplugs really are awesome! I'm trying to come up with a solution to your pest problem that doesn't resort to my usual methods...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, today I am grateful floss and not just for dental hygiene. It can help mend, build and really take a beating before being utterly destroyed. It's slightly stretchy, inexpensive and should really be in everyone's survival packs. It helps me survive my two years active lifestlye everyday. From forts, to tow cables, to mending stuff animals and craft activities. It is almost better than duct tape. I am grateful for floss.
I never thought to be grateful for floss! That's one I take for granted, I guess. Great choice!
DeleteOh my goodness. Where are you living??? I'm very thankful for you for earplugs, but I'd have to go sleep in my car or something if I were in that position. And then I'd have to move. I'd never sleep again otherwise.
ReplyDeleteJust snarl right back at them! I am greatful for books. They make enough of a stand for my computer and key board that i have a standing desk without paying a thousand dollars for one.
ReplyDeleteI am also grateful for a night's sleep. I'm a night shift worker, and I missed this bliss of dark unaware. It's worth the switch in schedule for an active day and a dreaming night.
ReplyDeleteAnd lots and lots of physical labor, right?
